Born and raised in Catahoula Parish, Heath grew up by the Ouachita River in small town of Harrisonburg, LA. After graduating from Harrisonburg High School in 2014, Heath attended college at Louisiana State University at Alexandria, where he received a Bachelors in English Language Arts in 2018. Shortly after graduating, he applied for an opening at a law office in Columbia, LA, just up the river from his hometown. You can say that it was meant to be, as Heath was hired by attorney Rossanna McIlwain in July 2018 to be her new legal assistant.

 

Since that time, Heath has learned a great deal under the mentoring of Rossanna and gained substantial experience in the legal world. Although Catahoula Parish is his home, Heath has built and established good relationships with the neighboring parishes that Rossanna frequently practices in. Heath enjoys getting to know more people and expanding his horizons in this field of work. Getting to help people is the best part about his job, and he values our clients here.

 

Outside of work, Heath likes to spend time being with family and friends and attending church at Bethel Assembly of God in Harrisonburg, LA. He also enjoys listening to music regularly, and even picking at a guitar every now then. However, he is always down to binge a good show every now and then, or watch an interesting movie. 

 

Heath expresses his gratefulness for being asked to be apart of McIlwain Law Firm, and is excited to see what good things the future holds in this new endeavor.

Caitlin Jones came to work for the firm in September of 2022. She is happily married to her husband and has two beautiful children that she adores very much. Caitlin enjoys reading and spending as much time with her family as possible.

 

Throughout her life, Caitlin has worked various jobs and positions to make ends meet, including being a cashier to working at a Veterinarian Clinic. Through those years Caitlin yearned for something more that she could be passionate about. Caitlin enjoyed working with the public and helping people in any way possible, but still felt something was still missing in her jobs. Caitlin knew that eventually something great come that would change her life for the better.

 

Eventually, Caitlin was given the opportunity to join a law firm. Caitlin had always dreamed of having some type of job within this field of law, and God opened a door for her just when he knew she needed it most. Caitlin enjoys her position at McIlwain Law Firm more than she could’ve ever imagined. She is ecstatic in helping others when they’re in need of assistance and believes all of her previous experiences will help her be a real team member here at McIlwain Law Firm. Caitlin has obtained skills to handle indexing, filing, document preparation, and anything else that needs to be done. She strives to do the very best job she possibly can in anything she does or is asked to do. 

 

Caitlin is very reliable, pleasant, patient, compassionate, and kind. She is not afraid to work and put in long hours to get things done when needed. Bringing a smile to someone’s face who may be having a hard time is so very rewarding to Caitlin. She has finally found the passion she was needing within a job. Caitlin does not really think of this as a job, however, but more as a family. It is something she is proud of and has changed her life completely.
